Cookie Policy, I-BLUE Studio

We use our own and third-party cookies to improve our services and to show you advertising related to your preferences by analysing your browsing habits. If you continue browsing, we will consider that you accept their use.

First: THE CONCEPT OF COOKIES

A cookie is a file that is downloaded onto the user’s computer/smartphone/tablet when accessing certain web pages in order to store and retrieve information about the browsing carried out from that device.

Technically, cookies are pieces of arbitrary data defined by the web server and sent to the browser. The browser returns them to the server unmodified, thus reflecting a state (a memory of previous events) in HTTP transactions, which would otherwise be independent of that state.

Without cookies, each request for a web page or a component of a web page would be an isolated event, unrelated to the other requests for other pages on the same site. However, by returning a cookie to the web server, the browser provides the server with a means of relating the request for the current page to requests for previous pages. In addition to being defined by a web server, cookies can also be defined by a script in a language such as JavaScript, if this is supported and enabled in the web browser.

Cookie specifications suggest that browsers should support a minimum number of cookies or a minimum amount of memory to store them. Specifically, a browser is expected to be able to store at least 300 cookies of 4 kilobytes each and at least 20 cookies per server or domain.

The server that sets the cookie may specify a deletion date, in which case the cookie will be deleted on that date. A shopping site might want to help potential customers by remembering the items in their shopping basket, even if they close the browser without making a purchase and return later, so that they do not have to search for the products again. In that case, the server would create a cookie with a deletion date according to the website designer’s wishes. If no deletion date is defined, the cookie is deleted when the user closes their browser. Defining a deletion date is therefore a way of making the cookie survive between sessions. For this reason, cookies with a deletion date are called persistent.
